In the Year of the Tar Heels
The 2009 college basketball season brought much excitement this year. It started and ended with the same team in the number one spot, North Carolina. Tyler Hansborough and ACC player of the year Ty Lawson led the Tar Heels to a Championship, the second under Coach Roy Williams. If the team of the year was North Carolina, then the player of the year was Blake Griffin of Oklahoma.
